I’m no good with money and I never will be, I’m such a failure. Money makes me panic. I do dumb things with money which causes me to worry and stress about money all the time.
Philippians 4:5-7 says, “The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.“
I’ll share the best way I’ve found to ditch all the fear and anxiety about money, which made me both confident with money and gave me peace that passes all understanding.

I had so much anxiety about money for so many years
I was at the grocery store, next to the chocolate chips, and felt my chest squeeze tight as tears blurred my vision.
I’d just counted up my groceries and was going to overspend again.
I always overspend, why can’t I get this right? Where can I transfer money to pay for this? How am I going to cover that doctor’s bill due on Friday? I’m such a failure. Money is so stressful.

Something had to change because I couldn’t keep living under so much financial stress
I read lots of books. Went to workshops and events. Tried what felt like a million ways to manage my money.
Whenever I worked on my finances, I made the environment nicer with hot tea and soft relaxing music Gratitude lists every day.
While some helped for a short time, nothing I tried gave me confidence and peace. I’d find myself still struggling with anxiety about money later.
It wasn’t until I devoted myself to studying everything the Bible said about money, that something began to change
I learned practical principles that helped me understand saving money, paying off debt, and even living on less than I made.

Truly I can say with the Psalmist in Psalm 34:4, I sought the Lord and He answered me; He delivered me from all my money fears.

Galatians 3:13-14 and Gen 12:2 helped me see that God wants to bless me abundantly in order to bless others and it’s because of Jesus’ redemption on the cross for me that makes this possible.
I was afraid of being slimy and sleazy when asking for the sale and Proverbs 11:25-26 helped me get past that.
Afraid that I was being greedy for wanting more money
Isaiah 61 showed me what it was like to have the anointing of God in my life to bring breakthroughs, freedom, and restoration to others, receiving godly wealth as a result.
These fears are from a list of 13 that I really struggled with.

My husband and I were at Costco, when we saw a TV on sale
