Strategy #1: The Source Unshakable Confidence
The first thing that leaps off the page for me is Proverbs 31 Woman’s confidence in business.
She didn’t worry about money or was fearful of asking for the sale.
She understood her value, and the value she brought to her community, and was confident in charging higher prices.
She wasn’t overwhelmed by doubt about being wealthy or worried about what others thought of her or trying to please others.
Instead, she was filled with purpose, passion, and joy in running her businesses. The entire community knew her and benefited from her services.
Can you imagine what it would feel like if you had this same unshakable confidence in your business?
If I can speak for both you and me, this is how we want to show up in business and bring glory to God, right?
As we see in verse 30, all of her confidence, business success, and impact on her entire community are tied to one thing, only.
The fear of the Lord.
She feared the Lord so much that there was no room for any other fears or doubts we normally have around money or being in business
The only other time fear was mentioned was that she was NOT afraid of the future for her family.
The Proverbs 31 Woman embodied what it means to love + trust the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, strength, and mind as well as to love your neighbor as yourself.
Because she feared the Lord, walked with Him, and knew His word, this gave her a solid understanding of Biblical truth about how business was created as a means of partnering with God to make the world a better place through serving others.
That money was created as an expression of gratitude for a service well done and a tangible reminder of how God provides for your needs, plus allowing you to reflect His generosity.
That’s the power of using Scripture to make peace with money.
I believe the single greatest asset in business is a Biblical money mindset if you want lasting peace with money, complete confidence in your business, and to be equipped to serve multitudes of grateful clients and create a massive legacy that reflects God’s goodness through business.
I’ve seen this kind of powerful transformation happen countless times, almost instantly, both for me and for the women who’ve applied this framework to their money story!
I’ll tell you about a resource you get that will show you how to overcome all these doubts in your business and gain this type of unshakable confidence by using the truth-found Scripture.
Strategy #2: Wisdom in Business
Because of how she walked with the Lord in her business, the Proverbs 31 Woman, was empowered by the Holy Spirit and was graced with incredible wisdom, favor, understanding, insight, skill, and knowledge in all areas of her business.
One example of this wisdom is that she wasn’t trying to juggle all the roles on her own.
She took the role of a CEO very seriously, and she led by example as she knew all aspects of her business, yet stayed in her area of expertise, while training others to do their jobs well.
She brought in team members to take work off of her plate freeing her up to focus on the big-picture tasks that only she could do, so they could continue to expand the business while serving customers with excellence.
She worked hard from a place of rest and was wise in all her business dealings.
Because she desired to serve + love others in her community powerfully, she continued to establish another business that would meet a specific need people had.
The Proverbs 31 Woman had systems and team members in place which allowed her to have a spirit of graciousness and kindness about her, and not be stressed out and overwhelmed, especially with running the 7 businesses that are listed.
When you rely on the wisdom from above, just like the Proverbs 31 Woman did, to run your business, it will be such a delight both for you, the clients you serve, and those watching you.
James 3:17-18
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Strategy # 3 Marketing Mastery
If you want to serve and impact multitudes for God’s glory, you need to talk about who you help, the ways you make their lives better, and the transformation that occurs after working with you ALL THE TIME.
This is marketing.
If your clients don’t know you’re there, how will they find you and how will you be able to serve them?
The Proverbs 31 Woman and her businesses were so well known for the excellence provided throughout her community that her works praised her in the gate. Everyone knew about her businesses.
She was committed to talking about and marketing her business every single day.
She taught others, the merchants and her employees how to talk about the benefits of her services and products, using authentic wisdom, kindness, and dignity as they shared with potential clients.
Your marketing plan needs to be strategic, well-thought-out, constant, and intentional. Just like the Proverbs 31 Woman had to start talking about her grapes and wine from her vineyard before they were ripe.
If you don’t have a solid marketing plan, you won’t serve as many people as you desire or make the sales you need.
Think of marketing like seeds you plant and the sales are a fruit that is harvested from that planting. If you want to harvest daily, make sales daily + serve daily, then you need to be planting marketing seeds daily.
The Proverbs 31 Woman was bold and courageous with her marketing. Her conviction on how her services will benefit others goes back to her fear of the Lord and finding her true value and worth in what He says about her.
You can’t have a prosperous and successful business, much less 7, that enriches you so you can be extremely generous + reflect God’s goodness, without implementing a marketing plan (or multiple ones).
Strategy # 4 Selling is Serving
That desire you have to make a huge impact and to help as many people as you can so they don’t have to struggle as you did, is the very reason God created sales and He delights in this process so much, He created money to be exchanged as a token of gratitude.
The Proverbs 31 Woman was so motivated by her love for God and her love to serve others, that she was selling constantly in all seven businesses, without any guilt!
She sold at the marketplace, from her vineyard, at her home, to her neighbors and friends, and to everyone in her community. She even participated in selling to other communities outside her hometown along the trade route.
Selling is the key to serving others.
When you sell + serve someone else, you are reflecting how God provides for your family and enriches you to be generous.
Selling requires a great deal of faith in the system that God created and in the moral, honorable nature of business.
Strategy #5 View Money As a Tool To Be Invested, Enjoyed, and Shared
The Proverbs 31 Woman had the tools and strategies to manage the multiple irregular income streams from all her businesses with confidence.
She used the money she earned to invest in another business asset, her vineyard.
This was a business that would outlast her own life and continue to benefit both her family as well as serve + impact the community for generations to come.
When it says her husband lacked nothing of value or had great gain because of her, this is detailing how her family’s lives were improved because of how her business prospered.
Generosity towards the poor is one of the main things that the Proverbs 31 Woman is famous for, but she also paid her employees timely and enjoyed the wealth created from serving others.
Her prices were higher and definitely not the cheapest, yet everyone willingly paid the higher prices because of the excellence they received.
In her life, we don’t see any of the money blocks or fear of being judged for her business, her pricing, or how much money she makes.
Why?
It goes back to her complete understanding of Biblical truth around money, why God created it, and the purposes for money.
