1. Hebrew word study on the word gold by Rabbi Daniel Lapin
I learned this from a Hebrew word study on the word gold by Rabbi Daniel Lapin and it completely blew my mind, completely changing how I view money, wealth, and business.
Even before the fall in Genesis 3, God created wealth and called it good in Genesis 2, for the purpose of partnering with Him to make the world a better place.
Everything He created, He created in abundance, sea creatures, birds, animals, and plants.
Then He gave the charge to Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply, to fill the earth, cultivate and subdue it.
These are terms of abundance, of wealth that God gave free reign to His created people as stewards with a responsibility to manage, multiply and be fruitful with.
And God called it good!
Let’s look a little deeper, the command to have dominion over all the earth and to subdue it, is talking about working with the creation, land, plants and animals.
Land, plants, fish, and animals are all examples of businesses.
Cultivating wheat, corn and cedar are all crops, businesses that are used to provide food or furniture, and many other things which we use every day and our lives are made better as a result.
Same with raising cattle or fish. If you’re in the cattle business, you’re providing food or leather for a variety of purposes to serve others.
Even though our businesses might not be working directly with animals or plants, you are still using elements created by God to create a business that serves someone else and solves a problem for them, making their lives better.
Wealth is already in the land and we need to cultivate it

through our businesses in order to be fruitful and multiply.
Through this cultivation of our businesses we are able to partner with God to make the world a better place by serving others and making their lives better.
I’d love to know how your business is making your customer’s lives better tell me below
IMMEDIATELY after God creates wealth and calls it good after He gives the charge to be fruitful and multiply, to have dominion and subdue the land
The enemy comes in and starts twisting the purpose of God’s word, bringing in doubt and unbelief about the very nature of God and everything God said, including creating wealth by cultivating a business to serve others being good.
This results in the fruitful, prosperous cultivation of the wealth God created for the benefit of others, being turned into hard, toil.
Instead of using business as a means to partner with God to serve and bless others, it becomes a means to oppress others, take advantage of them and create wealth on the backs of others to use for evil purposes.
This is not God’s design for wealth or business at all!
Jumping over to the later part of Genesis.
They were working for cruel taskmasters who profited off the Israelites’ labor, treated them harshly, and didn’t acknowledge God at all
When God redeems His people out of slavery in Egypt,
He brings them to a promised land and says over and over the types of blessings they will have inside the promised land. .
Deut 8
God paints a picture of multiple businesses that are extravagantly prosperous, as they fulfill His design of serving others and making their lives better.
He shows how He delights in prospering His people so that they might know Him, provide for their families and be a blessing to all the other nations, that all might see what a generous God He is and be drawn to know Him.
God tells His people to enjoy the abundance He has given, sharing it with their families, employees, ministers of the gospel and those in need. God promised to join them as they celebrated all the abundance of God’s blessings of prosperous wealth as a result of working their businesses, serving others.
God does want to prosper His people and He delights in it, to confirm His covenant of love and faithfulness.
Because His people who are walking with Him are going to run their businesses in partnership with God to serve others and make the world a better place.
They are going to be so blessed and generous that everyone around them will know that God is the one who is behind this blessing and generosity.
Yes, God does want His people to be rich!
because of all the good they will do and how they will reflect His goodness!
So go out and confidently cultivate godly wealth by serving others in your business.
