This couldn’t be further from the truth!

I got the text when I was babysitting my niece and my heart broke. But I’m thankful that it doesn’t have to be the end of the story.
Sorry, I did see this earlier…but for some reason, I’m awake and thinking about your program. While I know I’ve come a long way with my money mindset, I see some things that tell me I need to dig deeper. Probably the biggest thing is I’m a doctor (Chiropractic). I should be making a decent wage.
But I’ve owned my business for going on 6 years and barely pay myself. (Though…celebration…I did actually do that today!) And then there’s the debt. Business debt. Crazy student loan debt. I definitely have some worth issues…and fear of asking for the sale…
women Put So much trust In me + Share Their struggles
It always amazes me, how much women trust me and openly share their struggles, even from the very beginning, this was the second text she sent me.
When I asked her what kind of issues around worth were coming up for her, she replied.
Am I helping my patients? Thinking people aren’t willing to pay (so…when I started my business I charged a ridiculously low fee.) that is improving, but there is still some fear around that…mostly with the people who have been coming to me forever. I worry about raising their fees. What am I doing wrong/not doing that is keeping me stuck? Also, fear around selling a care plan.

But that wasn’t all that was going on. Dr. Brooke’s issues with money were causing tension in her relationship with her husband.

“One of my probably biggest struggles was that here I am, I’m an entrepreneur, which requires this whole other mindset, and I’m in business and I’m trying to like do all the things and my husband is in a job that he hates.
Because it’s scary to step out into the unknown, and I’m wanting to support him. But my business isn’t growing the way that I want it to, and I, I can’t force him to like, go out and do something different.”
stressed and overwhelmed by the amount of debt she was carrying
“I had a large amount of business credit card debt that, you know, the majority of them were very high interest and I was paying the payments, but because I was paying the payments and all of the rest of my overhead, I was not paying myself.”
12 money issues Causing Problems
Immediately I saw there were 12 money issues Dr Brooke was dealing with and where causing her business to not grow like she wanted.
- Low view of her own self-worth, lack of confidence.
- Didn’t believe in the transformational value of her services which caused her to undercharge.
- Fear of asking for the sale or raising her rates, and being perceived as salsey, when she wanted to help people.
- Wanted people’s approval and didn’t want to face rejection.
- Thinking that she was the problem and was doing something wrong especially when she compared herself to other chiropractors who had experienced much more business + financial growth.
- She felt responsible for a better financial future for her family and for their happiness. It crushed her that she wasn’t able to provide.
- Wasn’t sure what was keeping her stuck, since she had done a lot of mindset work, but she couldn’t break past this. This tells me that there are definitely some missing pieces in the mindset coaching that’s available out there and I see this all the time. It makes me frustrated to see women getting help, but then not getting the breakthroughs they desired.
- Feeling guilty and like she was letting everyone down for not bringing home the money she wanted or had promised her husband.
- She was doubting the call of God in her life to go into business as a chiropractor and entrepreneur.
- Struggling with whether could she really help people and still get paid decently, was that even ok?
- The large amounts of business debt were making her feel trapped, stressed, and frustrated.
- I could tell she felt like a failure with money and in her business.
Indicators of Success
But I also saw some really great indications that she would be successful in working through the headspace and that her breakthrough was just around the corner.
She was aware that she had these money issues and knew she couldn’t fix them on her own.
She believed that there had to be a way to get past these money issues and that the future would be brighter as a result.
Dr. Brooke knew the results she was looking for
Improved Confidence in what I offer. Being able to serve others without “needing” them… because I’m charged and paid fairly. Less stress on my husband and between us.
Fixing it…having more money…would allow me to hire others to do the jobs that are not my thing. So that would allow me more time with my family and to do what I do best.
It was evident that she wanted the transformation right now since she’d spent so much time, work, and money on other mindset work.
While it seems like a long list of money issues that Dr. Brooke was dealing with, they are all pretty common and easy to fix when you implement the right framework and tools.
